Last Friday, October 6, the Official College of Architects of Madrid held the COAM 2023 Awards ceremony, recognizing the Concordia Bridge.
IDEAM | A TYLin Company thanks Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid – COAM and the jury for the recognition and congratulates the rest of the winners of this edition.
We share some photos of the event, where Luis Matute, CEO of IDEAM | A TYLin Company, collected the award on behalf of Francisco Millanes Mato, Honorary President of IDEAM | A TYLin Company.
The IDEAM | A TYLin Company submission, led by Francisco Millanes Mato and coordinated by the IDEAM | A TYLin Company engineering teams and by the architects Francisco José Domouso de Alba, Lorenzo Fernández-Ordóñez Hernández and Emilio Rodríguez Jiménez, was the winner of the Ideas Contest and the Construction Project in 2007, promoted by the Junta de Compensación Parque de Valdebebas.
In addition, IDEAM | A TYLin Company has carried out the Works Management for the Junta de Compensación Parque de Valdebebas and Ferrovial is the constructor.
The design of the Bridge opted to create an icon, a modern architectural reference that serves as a gateway to the city of Madrid from the T4 Terminal of the Barajas Airport.
“La Concordia” arch bridge connects the T-4 Terminal of the airport with Valdebebas, crossing over the M-12 highway, with a main span of 162 m, a total length of 214 m and a width of 24.5 m, making it the bridge with the biggest spam in the Region of Madrid.
