The COAM Awards aim to recognize the quality in architectural works, good professional practice and exemplary initiatives that have contributed to the dissemination of the cultural values of Architecture. These awards have achieved great prestige and are one of the oldest on the national scene, as this is their 51st edition.
The IDEAM | A TYLin Company submission, led by Francisco Millanes Mato and coordinated by the IDEAM | A TYLin Company engineering teams and by the architects Francisco José Domouso de Alba, Lorenzo Fernández-Ordóñez Hernández and Emilio Rodríguez Jiménez, was the winner of the Ideas Contest and the Construction Project in 2007, promoted by the Valdebebas Park Compensation Board.
In addition, IDEAM | A TYLin Company has carried out the Works Management for the Junta de Compensación Parque de Valdebebas and Ferrovial is the constructor.
The design of the Bridge opted to create an icon, a modern architectural reference that serves as a gateway to the city of Madrid from the T4 Terminal of the Barajas Airport.
“La Concordia” arch bridge connects the T-4 Terminal of the airport with Valdebebas, crossing over the M-12 highway, with a main span of 162 m, a total length of 214 m and a width of 24.5 m, making it the bridge with the biggest spam in the Region of #Madrid.
